I know this is one of your older pieces, but I have always loved it and finally decided to comment on it, so I hope you can read one more commentary.
I'm no art student, but your gallery is....wonderful, especially your use of color and shading. But I've always liked this one best because of the quiet mood it conveys to me. It was one of the first I ever saw in what I'd like to call sepia tones so it stood out to me and your shading is so effortless. I wonder why you chose not to do it in b&w, this one and the other one of the Great Showdown in the MOD. I think if you had decided to color this or had done it in, say, charcoal, then it would be (to me) one more wondrfully detailed Harry Potter rendering, but in these softened tones I'm more apt to feel that it was peaceful in the Great Hall at one time or another.....
I really like your realism.
